The Inclusive Learning Exchange (TILE)

The Inclusive Learning Exchange (TILE) advances learning object repository technology to the next level by creating a repository service that responds to the individual needs of the learner. TILE provides the authoring tools, repository architecture, and preference schema needed to support this learner-centric transformation. The service will be implemented across Canada by a network of learning communities from many sectors. TILE acts as an exemplar of inclusive e-learning and forms the basis of extensions to international e-learning specifications. By making broadband e-learning inclusive of people with disabilities TILE advances e-learning functionality for all learners.

The Repository Services

The TILE Repository Services allows Canadian learners and educators to access educational content from the TILE Learning Object Repository (LOR). Educators are also able to add learning objects to the repository.

The TILE website and transformations will function in any web browser on any platform (Linux, Mac OS, and Windows), but we do make extensive use of Cascading Style Sheets. Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org) offers the best support for style sheets, and will provide the best experience.
